Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

The RCIA is the process by which adults (or children of catechetical age) can come into the communion of the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation. This programme provides a gradual process of initiation into the faith and community life of the Catholic Church, through regular meetings with our parish RCIA team.

Everyone in the RCIA process is on a unique journey, and it is a time in which candidates are encouraged to ask questions, to share in discussion of the Catholic faith and honestly address their own faith journey. It is a way in which enquirers are sensitively and gently assisted on their journey of faith to joyful entry into the Catholic Church at Easter. Candidates usually receive the three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) together at the Easter Vigil Mass. If you are interested in becoming Catholic – or even if you are unsure but would like to know more – please contact the parish office.
